Propane: A natural propellant.
Propioni-Bacterium Acnew: Anaerobic bacterium that thrives in the follicular canal of the pilosebaceous unit. Implicated in the pathogenesis of acne (Causes acne if not treated).

 


AMINOMETHYL PROPANEDIOL
A substance that is used to adjust pH levels in cosmetics and skin care products.
ANAGEN PHASE
The early phase of the hair cycle when hair synthesis takes place.

Aminomethyl Propanedial - An alkalizer / neutralizer used to adjust pH in cosmetic preparations.
Ammonium Laureth Sulfate - Surfactant. Used as primary surfactant for many shampoos. Low irritation.

BNDP or Bronopol - 2-bromo 2 Nitropropane
Toxic, causes allergic contact dermatitis. Have the potential to be carcinogenic (to cause cancer).

Propellant - the primary delivery system for aerosol hairsprays and mousses; examples include butane, isobutane, propane, and hydrofluorocarbon.
Propylene glycol - a humectant that is good for people with oily skin.
Propylparaben - a preservative.

Isopropyl is derived from propane, a gaseous and flammable component of petroleum.
