Propylene Glycol
Works as a humectant, moisture carrier, derived from petroleum. In industry it is used in antifreeze and hydraulic brake fluid.

 


Propyl Paraben: Common cosmetic food grade preservative that is anti-fungal and anti-microbial. It is less water-soluble than methylparaben. See Methyl Paraben.

Propyl Paraben
A food grade preservative- see Methyl Paraben. Usually used with methyl paraben to provide protection against more microbes.

Methylparaben (also Methyl/propyl paraben) - A very effective antimicrobial, anti-irritant, and preservative, it has been found to be extremely useful in various types of cosmetics and food products.

(METHYL PARABEN, BUTYL PARABEN, ETHYL PARABEN & PROPYL PARABEN)
Nipastat is a blend of methyl, ethyl, propyl and butyl paraben solubilized in phenoxyethanol. The ratio of parabens is in the proportion of their water solubilities.
