Beauty ScrubSD Alcohol

SD: (Specially Denatured) Government required prefix with ethyl alcohol to signify it is unfit for human consumption. (SD 40 contains Bitrox, one of the bitterest substances known.)
SD 40 Alcohol: Used primarily in hair spray as a resin solvent.

SD Alcohol-40
Derived from grain; cosmetic grade, non-drying compound used to dilute and dissolve other ingredients.

SD ALCOHOL - Distilled from corn. Specially denatured (SD) alcohol according to U.S. Codes of Federal Regulations. Denaturing makes the alcohol un-drinkable by adding unpleasant substances. Works as a solvent.

Alcohol SD-40
A high grade purified cosmetic alcohol. Evaporates instantly, so it is used as a vehicle to transport important ingredients to the skin's surface and then leave them there; gentler to the skin than ethyl (rubbing) alcohol.

Now StriVectin-SD is being marketed as an alternative to Botox treatment. While it is quite different from Botox, the results are remarkably comparable.

Alcohol (Denatured) - Also known as SD (Specially Denatured) Alcohol. Used in many skin toners to help break the surface tension of oils and make them easier to be removed from the skin.

Strivectin-SD by Klein Becker. Key ingredient: oligopeptide palmitoyl. Price: $135 for 6 ounces.
Principal Secret Reclaim Anti-Aging Night Cream. Key ingredient: argireline (acetyl hexapeptide-3). Price: $40 for 1 ounce.

From past recommendations I have tried products such as Skin Effects Cell 2 Cell cream and StriVectin-SD among others. Please note that I have no ties to any of the companies which market these products.
