Seborrhea

Seborrhea "The heart break of seborrhea"or was it psoriasis? For the number of times the commercial played in the 70's, it should be indelibly etched into my memory. Suffice it to say, the ad was all about dandruff.

Seborrhea: Increased sebum secretion. Implicated in the pathogenesis of acne.

Seborrhea- Severe oiliness in the skin. Sebum- Oil in the skin. Sensitive Skin- Very often dry as well, can become irritated on contact with various substances.

Seborrhea Seborrhea affects areas of the skin with abundant oil glands - the chest, ears, eyebrows, face, nose and scalp.

Don't confuse dandruff with dry hair even though men with dandruff often have dry scalp. Dandruff is scaly, dry skin that forms on the scalp and causes shedding, and is sometimes caused by seborrhea (which is a whole different topic).
