Seborrhea
"The heart break of seborrhea"or was it psoriasis? For the number of times the commercial played in the 70's, it should be indelibly etched into my memory. Suffice it to say, the ad was all about dandruff.
Seborrhea- Severe oiliness in the skin.
Sebum- Oil in the skin.
Sensitive Skin- Very often dry as well, can become irritated on contact with various substances.
Seborrhea: Increased sebum secretion. Implicated in the pathogenesis of acne.

Seborrhea tends to be flat, red, and flaky, but usually not itchy. It commonly occurs in areas that are high in the oil secreting glands: around the nose, chin, eyebrows, behind the ears, and around the lips.

If you have large size flakes together with symptoms around your nose, eyebrows, ears, around your navel or genitals, it may be due to seborrheic dermatitis or seborrhea. Severe dandruff may be the result of psoriasis of the scalp.
Don't confuse dandruff with dry hair even though men with dandruff often have dry scalp. Dandruff is scaly, dry skin that forms on the scalp and causes shedding, and is sometimes caused by seborrhea (which is a whole different topic).
