Stratum Granulosum: The granular layer of the epidermis. The cells of this layer contain keratohyalin granules, which contain a protein called filaggrin.

 


It's the thinnest layer, but it's responsible for protecting you from the harsh environment, with five layers of its own: stratum germinativum, stratum spinosum, stratum granulosum, stratum lucidum, and stratum corneum.

The epidermis has five layers of its own: stratum germinativum, stratum spinosum, stratum granulosum, stratum lucidum, and stratum corneum. The epidermis also hosts different types of cells: keratinocytes, melanocytes and Langerhans cells.

The epidermis have 5 layers Stratum basale ,stratum spinosum ,stratum granulosum, stratum licidum and stratum corneum. The bottom layer, the stratum basale, has cells which are shaped like columns.

It is made up of 5 layers: Stratum Corneum - horny layer, Stratum lucidum - clear layer, Stratum granulosum - granular layer, Stratum spinosum - spiny layer - prickle cell, melanin production, ...
