Codon bias: Although several codons code for a single amino acid, an organism may have a preferred codon for each amino acid. This is called codon bias.
DNA sequences are involved with regulation of genes, changes in these sites may be deleterious. Likewise, although several codons code for a single amino acid, an organism may have a preferred codon for each amino acid. This is called codon bias.
