This Biology 376 Glossary was begun in Fall 1995 by the Biology 212 class at Lafayette College; it continues to be developed at the University of San Diego.

There are a lot of big unanswered questions in trying to understand developmental biology. One of the questions that I'm really excited about trying to understand is what is it that makes different nervous systems different from one another.
However, it has not been an unqualified success - developmental biology is not easily reducible to genetics, nor is ecology.
Because of you this glossary contains one of the most extensive collection of developmental biology, genetic, cell biology, molecular biology, molecular genetic, and biochemistry definitions. Please continue to suggest additions to this glossary.
