The Developmental Biology Page at Loyola University Chicago has resources relating to a number of species, plus movies and animations on oogenesis, cleavage, gastrulation, and links to other developmental sites.
Evolutionary developmental biology is not yet a unified discipline, but can be distinguished from earlier approaches to evolutionary theory by its focus on a few crucial ideas.

There are a lot of big unanswered questions in trying to understand developmental biology. One of the questions that I'm really excited about trying to understand is what is it that makes different nervous systems different from one another.
However, it has not been an unqualified success - developmental biology is not easily reducible to genetics, nor is ecology.
Because of you this glossary contains one of the most extensive collection of developmental biology, genetic, cell biology, molecular biology, molecular genetic, and biochemistry definitions. Please continue to suggest additions to this glossary.
