Insectivore Any organism with a diet that consists chiefly of insects and similar small creatures is an insectivore.
insectivore An insectivorous animal or plant. Any mammal of the order Insectivora, comprising the moles, shrews, and Old World hedgehogs.
Following this extinction the mammalian radiation occurred. Mammals coexisted for a long time with the dinosaurs but were confined mostly to nocturnal insectivore niches.
