Interneurons
Neurons that connect only with other neurons and not with either sensory cells or muscles. They are thus involved in the intermediate processing of signals.
Interneurons
These are found exclusively within the spinal cord and brain. They are stimulated by signals reaching them from
sensory neurons
other interneurons or
both.

motor neurons Neurons that receive signals from interneurons and transfer the signals to effector cells that produce a response. Nerve cells connected to a muscle or gland. Sometimes also known as effector neurons.
