Krebs cycle
tricarboxylic acid cycle; one of the most basic processes in respiration, in which starch (or glycogen), by a series of complex processes, is converted successively to PGAL, PGA, pyruvic acid, and other substances, ...

Krebs cycle
A chemical cycle involving eight steps that completes the metabolic breakdown of glucose molecules to carbon dioxide; occurs within the mitochondrion; the second major stage in cellular respiration.

Krebs Cycle
C-C 2 CO2
The Krebs Cycle produces NADH, FADH2, and ATP.

Krebs Cycle the second stage in cellular respiration in which pyruvic acid is converted to CO2 also known as the citric acid cycle

Lac operon The operon that encodes the genes required for lactose metabolism.

Reverse Krebs cycle (also known as the reverse tricarboxylic acid cycle, the reverse TCA cycle, or the reverse citric acid cycle).

Krebs Cycle The second stage of cellular respiration that occurs in the mitochondria; completes the breakdown of glucose into carbon dioxide. See citric acid cycle.

Glycolysis and the Krebs Cycle are carried out in all cells using the same enzymes.

citric acid cycle (Krebs cycle or tricarboxylic acid cycle) - central metabolic pathway found in all aerobic organisms. Oxidizes acetyl groups derived from food molecules to CO2 amd H2O. Occurs in the mitochondria of eucaryotic cells.

The process in which glucose is converted into CO2 and H2O in the presence of oxygen, releasing large amounts of ATP. This process includes the krebs cycle, electron transport chain, and oxidative phosphorylation.
