Molar teeth

Biology ModificationMolecular biology

The Molar Teeth (dentes molares) are the largest of the permanent set, and their broad crowns are adapted for grinding and pounding the food.

And the breadth of the frontal shield here, as we call it, is relatively narrow. The teeth are present in the full number and the differentiation into incisors, canine, premolar teeth, ...

The hind limbs are either rudimentary or wanting, and the front ones are changed to paddles. They have horny plates on the front part of the jaws, and usually flat-crowned molar teeth.
