Nuclear lamina
A nuclear lamina is a dense, fibrillar meshwork composed of intermediate filaments that lines the inner surface of the nuclear envelope.

Along the inner surface of the nucleus, one of these networks is organized into a special mesh-like lining called the nuclear lamina, which binds to chromatin, integral membrane proteins, and other nuclear components.

The inner membrane is associated with a network of intermediate filaments called nuclear lamina, which is made of lamin. The lamina acts as a site of attachment for chromosomes. It also acts like a shield for the nucleus.
