Ocular albinism, type 1 (OA1) (OMIM: 300500), also known as Nettleship-Falls syndrome, is the most common variety of ocular albinism, which affects the eyes but generally not the skin or hair.

ocular
the eye-piece of a microscope which serves to magnify the object.

Binocular Vision being able to focus both eyes‚ together‚ on an object and process the information to allow for depth perception

In ocular-cutaneous albinism, individuals inherit an "albinism gene" from both parents.

X-Linked Ocular Albinism. Ballabio and Dick Lewis (BCM) have found an altered gene in the Xp22.3 region in patients with X-linked ocular albinism of the Nettleship-Falls type (OA1), a severe disorder affecting the eyes and the skin.

a syndrome of ocular hypertelorism, anteverted nostrils, broad upper lip, saddle-bag scrotum, and laxity of ligaments resulting in genu recurvatum, flat feet, and hyperextensible fingers; x-linked and autosomal dominant forms.

Marfan syndrome -- autosomal dominant condition of connective tissue; affects the skeletal, ocular and cardiovascular systems.

Place one lens ("polarizer") below the condenser and fix the other lens ("analyzer") to the microscope ocular (eyepiece).

For example: if the light passes through two, lenses (an objective lens and an ocular lens) we multiply the 10X ocular value by the value of the objective lens (say it is 4X): 10 X 4=40, or 40X magnification.
