Passive Transport
Transport of a substance across a cell membrane by diffusion; expenditure of energy is not required.Another term for diffusion.

Passive transport is a means of moving biochemicals, and other atomic or molecular substances, across membranes. Unlike active transport, this process does not involve chemical energy.
