Genetic interference
Positive interference: the interaction between crossovers such that the occurrence of one exchange between homologous chromosomes reduces the likelihood of another in its vicinity.
Interference One crossover event inhibits the chances of another crossover event. Also known as positive interference. Negative interference increases the chance of a second crossover.
