Replication bubble

Biology ReplicationReplication fork

Once the polymerases have opened the molecule, an area known as the replication bubble forms (always initiated at a certain set of nucleotides, the origin of replication).

However, other evidence suggests that this complex may function as an initiator and create a sufficiently large replication bubble to allow the helicase (Mcm) to load without the presence of a loader.
