The Transcriptome
Only a very small percentage of the DNA in vertebrate genomes encodes proteins (the "proteome") because ...

Transcriptome
The complete set of RNA transcripts made by a cell under a particular condition. Typically determined by microarray analysis.
Transductant
A genetic recombinant formed by transduction.

Transcriptome The full complement of activated genes, mRNAs, or transcripts in a particular tissue at a particular time
Transfection The introduction of foreign DNA into a host cell.
