Tricuspid valve

Biology TrematodeTripartite

The tricuspid valve (valvula tricuspidalis) (Figs. 493, 495) consists of three somewhat triangular cusps or segments.

Endocarditis - mitral valves (regurgitation, prolapse, stenosis) - aortic valves (stenosis, insufficiency) - pulmonary valves (stenosis, insufficiency) - tricuspid valves (stenosis, insufficiency)
Myocardium ...

It flows through the tricuspid valve into the right ventricle. The term tricuspid refers to the three flaps of tissue that make up the valve.
Contraction of the ventricle then closes the tricuspid valve and forces open the pulmonary valve.

Blood flows from right atrium, across tricuspid valve, into right ventricle
Muscle of right ventricle is not as thick as left ventricle
Blood enters pulmonary artery from right ventricle. Backflow prevented by semilunar pulmonic valve ...
