Untranslated region (UTR)
Regions of mature RNA that do not code for proteins, including 5'-UTR and 3'-UTR. UTR contains information for regulation of translation and mRNA stability.

3' untranslated region: A region of the DNA which IS transcribed into mRNA and becomes the 3' end or the message, but which does not contain protein coding sequence.

3' UTR, 3' Untranslated Region The part of the mRNA which lies between the signal for the termination of translation (the stop codon) and the polyA tail.

EVI_1a, EVI_1b, EVI_1c, EVI_1d, and EVI_3L are all variants in the 5' untranslated region, and all except EVI_1a are specific to human cells [2].

Other possibilities: The untranslated regions at either end of many messenger RNA (mRNA) molecules — the 5'-UTRs and 3'-UTRs — ...

In Eukaryotes it consists of a particular structure in the 3' untranslated region which modifies the behavior of ribosomal translation within the coding region, ...

The Bicoid, Hunchback, and Caudal proteins are transcription factors. Bicoid has a DNA-binding homeodomain that binds both DNA and the nanos mRNA. Bicoid binds a specific RNA sequence in the 3' untranslated region of caudal mRNA and blocks ...

Instability is mediated by clusters of the AUUUA motif in the 3' untranslated regions of the mRNAs. Control of mRNA stability provides a means of increasing the amplitude of a response and allows rapid adjustment of mRNA levels.
