A bilgeboard is a lifting foil used in a sailboat, which resembles a cross between a centerboard and a leeboard.
bilgeboards - Similar to centerboards, and used to prevent lee way. Usually located on either side of the centerline at the bilges.
Bilgeboards - are on either side of the centerline at the bilges. Binnacle - A support for the compass, raising it to a convenient position. Bitter End - The last part of a rope or chain. The inboard end of the anchor rode.
