The usual navigation tools: Charts, dividers, parallel rules, pencils, hand held compass, binoculars. All this is usually aboard every charter boat, but I am used to bring my own in my sail bag, because I know I can rely on my own equipment.
Navigation equipment can be simple. Charts, including a reasonable area around your intended route, tide table, dividers and parallel rule, sighting compass and, of course, the trusty GPS. A good pair of binoculars can help.
