Yacht Club Membership...Without the Yacht
If you think you need to own a yacht in order to join a yacht club, think again! In reality, many fans of sailing simply don't have the time to get out on the water as much as they'd like.

club - A boom on a jib or staysail.

The Club was established in 1991 by a group of past members of local RYA shore based evening classes whose mutual interest is sailing.

A yacht club's highest officer. The next highest is the vice commodore, followed by the rear commodore. Because each is assigned a distinctive flag they are called flag officers. The term comes from an historic navy rank just below admiral.

Jib Boom, Jib Club: The spar to which the foot of the jib is attached, usually only seen on R/C Sailboats. See boom also.
