Collision Bulkhead:
A watertight bulkhead at the forepeak extending to main deck. This bulkhead prevents the entire ship from being flooded in case of a collision.
A watertight bulkhead (collision bulkhead) is a strong wall and door that can be sealed to keep water from pouring into the cabin. Often it is near the bow. 2) On shore, a bulkhead (seawall) props up a wharf.
Duct keels are provided in the bottom of some vessels. These run from the forward engine room bulkhead to the collision bulkhead and are utilized to carry the double bottom piping. The piping is then accessible when cargo is loaded.
