Cuddy Cabins
Boats with a "cuddy cabin" are runabouts or cruisers with a small cabin for resting or overnight anchoring.

cuddy - A small shelter cabin in a boat.
cunningham - Invented by Briggs Cunningham, it is the line controlling tension along a sail's luff by using a line to pull down the mainsail a short distance from the luff to the tack.

There is a cuddy cabin forward for the head. There is a 'galley' aft sunken into the port side seat so that when you lift a lid the two-burner stove is sheltered from the wind. There is a bin in the galley thwart to stow cooking utensils.

Deckhouse, Cabin and Cuddy
Boats may be the open type or may have a "Deckhouse", "Cabin" or "Cuddy" to use as shelter against the elements.

A cabin cruiser (sedan cruiser) is a power cruiser with a comfortable cabin large enough to live, eat, and sleep in. A cuddy cabin (cuddy) is the smallest cabin, with barely enough space for people to sit.

To distinguish it from a cuddy boat, it has an open bow area where there are extra seats in front of the helm station.
