Floorboards:
The surface of the cockpit on which the crew stand.

FLOORBOARDS - The surface of the cockpit on which the crew stand.
FLUKE- Triangular plate on arm of an anchor.

BILGE: The part of the boat below the cabin sole, or floorboards, in which water can collect prior to pump out.
BILGE PUMP: An electric or manual pumping device to rid the bilge of any unwanted water. Having both is recommended.

Removal of the floorboards showed a high rising waterline. The waterline was immediately marked to determine if it was rising.
