Meridian
A longitude line. Meridians are imaginary circles that run through both poles.

Rhumb line - A line on a sphere that cuts all meridians at the same angle; the path taken by a ship or plane that maintains a constant compass direction (straight line compass course between two points)

VESSEL: A general term for all craft capable of floating on water, and larger than a rowboat.

Rhumb Line - A line on the surface of the earth making the same oblique angle with all meridians. A rhumb line is a straight line on a rhumb (or Mercator) direction.
