A fall with northerly wind indicates storm with rain and hall in summer and snow in winter.
A fall with increased moisture in the air and increasing heat indicates southerly wind and rain.

north - One of the 4 cardinal compass points. North is the direction toward the North Pole and is at 0° on a compass card.

Note: Winds are described as where they blow from. Currents are described as where they flow to. Thus, a northerly wind blows from the north. A northerly current flows toward the north.
