pooped - A wave that breaks over the stern of the boat.
port - 1 - The left side of the boat from the perspective of a person at the stern of the boat and looking toward the bow. The opposite of starboard. 2 - A porthole.

 


Pooped -
The poop is the stern section of a ship. To be pooped is to be swamped by a high, following sea.

Pooped - Hit by a wave over the stern; having a wave wash over the stern of the boat. This can be a very dangerous situation.
Popple - A short, confused sea.

poop - The raised part of a vessel at her extreme after end. To be pooped is when running before the wind a sea breaks in over the stern.

To be pooped is to be swamped by a high, following sea. A Bermuda rigged sailboat will always warn her crew when she is turning around 160 degrees away from the wind.
