The staterooms lie at both ends of the yacht, effectively forming two private sleeping areas for two couples. The owner's cabin aft has an oversized double berth with numerous storage bins and lockers within easy reach.

Staterooms refers to the type of cabin that you will receive. An "Outside" stateroom will have a window or porthole to the outside. An "inside" stateroom will not have a window.

The forward cabin (stateroom) is the sleeping cabin near the bow. The forecastle (pronounced "focs'l") or forepak is a stowage compartment in the very forward part of the boat.

Berths, as a rule, are permanently built into the structure of the staterooms or compartments. They are constructed singly and also in tiers of two or three, one above the other.

Amidships - In the center portion of the vessel. When you occupy the midships stateroom, your berth is located amidships.
Anchor - A heavy metal device, fastened to a chain or line, that holds a vessel in place.

Bridge House:
The erection or superstructure fitted about amidship on the upper deck of a ship. The officer's quarters, staterooms and accommodations are usually in the bridge house.

Cabin: The apartment occupied by the commanding officer and other line officers. the cabin is often divided into compartments by light bulkheads to form two or more staterooms.

Bridle - A line or wire secured at both ends in order to distribute a strain between two points; a short length of wire with a line attached at the midpoint.
