Tingle

Boating Time zoneToe rail

Having heaved the break roughly back into position, treat the doublers as tingles. With the doublers in position use the bolts to close the break joint. Clench the bolts over on the inside to stop them coming adrift.

The "ballast fin" craft beat my cutter so badly that even at this distance of time my ears tingle and I feel ashamed.

It will tingle the toes of performance sailors (a class is already taking shape) but this boat also has a cruising side.

Tingle: A thin temporary patch.
Tiller: a lever used for steering, attached to the top of the rudder post. Used mainly on smaller vessels, such as dinghies and rowing boats.
