Fungicides
The following is a list of some fungicides that can be used in New York State for diseases of trees and shrubs. To make absolutely sure you are spraying the right fungicide for your situation, call your local Cooperative Extension agent.

Fungi and Fungicides
Fungi are plants that feed on other plants. They reproduce by means of 'spoors', small (microscopic) seeds which are distributed by the wind, or water.

Fungicides - The 2 most commonly used acceptable fungicides are sulfur and copper.
They are highly toxic to humans and other mammals, fish and aquatic invertebrates.

Organic Fungicides. While copper-based fungicides have been part of the gardener's arsenal for a while, organic fungicides are now available that may work as well and are better for the environment.

Experiments conducted in Brazil have shown that a solution of fresh cow's milk in water can be as effective as conventional fungicides for controlling powdery mildew on greenhouse grown plants.

These can be attacked with the use of insecticides and fungicides in the form of sprays, soapy rinses, or systemic poisons. Spraying your Bonsais once every month or two with a non-toxic insect spray should keep the tree clean and healthy.

Most of these are white spirit based solutions carrying various chemical compounds and fungicides.

Precautions such as regular spraying with systemic insecticides and fungicides can be useful though should be relied upon.

Diseases such as mildew and rusts can be treated with any one of a multitude of fungicides available at all good garden centres.

A quick drying sealant containing insecticides and fungicides, it forms a smooth, dark cover that remains quite flexible.
As you can see, like photography, the list is endless.
But whatever tools you find helpful, buy quality.

A bonsai is nothing more than a miniature version of a normal plant, therefore it can be treated with commonly found insecticides and fungicides according to directions on the package.

Spray your trees regularly with both insecticides and fungicides.
Treat all major cuts with a sealant.
Use sharp tools to avoid making jagged cuts when pruning, they will allow infection into the tree.
Do not keep unsuitable species indoors.

Although miniatures, bonsai can experience the same problems as their larger relatives, and should also be treated with the appropriate insecticides or fungicides. Organic forms of the latter are becoming more popular, and more readily available.

They are systemic fungicides which can be sprayed on the leaves and/or applied to the soil, as they are carried in the sap to the leaves. Warmer temperatures discourage mildew, but overwintering plants need cooler temperatures! ...

Pests and Diseases: Fuchsia are susceptible to aphids and regular inspection should be carried out. Trees experiencing wet soil conditions and poor air circulation are more susceptible to attacks of mildew and should be sprayed with fungicides.
