Shape: Papilionaceous - Pea-shaped Showiness: Inconspicuous Notes: The slender cylindrical male catkins are pendulous, yellowish in colour and 5-10 cm long; pollination is in early spring, before the leaves emerge.
Papilionaceous. Perfect, borne in loose drooping racemes four to five inches long, cream-white, about an inch long, nectar bearing, fragrant. Pedicels slender, half an inch long, dark red or reddish green.
