Assessed Valuation
A municipality's worth in dollars based on real estate and/or other property for the purpose of taxation, sometimes expressed as a percent of the full market value of the community.

ASSESSED VALUATION " The value of real estate that is used for tax purposes.

Assessed Valuation - The value that a taxing authority places on real or personal property for the purpose of taxation.

ASSESSED VALUATION or ASSESSED VALUE - The appraised worth of a property as set by a taxing authority for purposes of ad valorem taxation. The method of establishing assessed valuation varies from state to state.

In a municipal bond issue, a ratio measuring the value of the municipality's net debt compared to the specified value of the real property being purchased as assessed for tax purposes.
