Basics of the Bond Markets
The markets, no matter if you consider only those based in the USA or worldwide, don't act as purely separate entities.

 


Bond markets are important components of capital markets. Bonds are fixed-income financial assets-essentially IOUs that promise the holder a specified set of payments.

Bond basis
Refers to a method used to calculate accrued interest on some bond and money market instruments in the US corporate and Eurobond markets. Conventionally based on a 30 day month and a 360 day year.
