Break Even Point The break even point for a firm is the level of output sufficient for revenue to cover all its costs. Output below the break even point will lead to a loss as a firm will not be able to cover its costs.

The Break Even point of an option is the price that the underlying asset must reach in order that the option holder can recover the option premium (the price they paid for the option).
