Current return
Current return, also called current yield, is the amount of interest you earn on a bond in any given year, expressed as a percent of the current market price.

Yield is the current return on a bond in the market. As market conditions change, yield on the bonds rise or fall. If a bond bought at par, then the yield and the coupon rate are the same. But if the yield falls, the price of the bond must rise.
