Delivery vs. Payment - Otherwise known as the DVP, it is a swift message type issued to reduce the settlement risk in any financial transaction sought. It is the delivery vs.

 


delivery date
first day of the month in which delivery is to be made under a futures contract. Since sales are on a seller's option basis, delivery can be on any day of the month, as long as proper notice is given.
