Fixed investment in economics refers to investment in fixed capital, i.e. tangible capital goods (real means of production or residential buildings), or to the replacement of depreciated capital goods.

fixed investment trust See unit investment trust. Also known as unit investment trust or participating trust or fixed investment trust. fixed premium Periodic, equal-sized payments made to an insurance firm for an insurance policy or annuity.

The term maturity is used to indicate the end of investment period of any fixed investment or security. After maturity, the investor is repaid the invested amount along with the interest that has been accumulated.
