Long Leg
The long part of an option spread (the buying and selling of options within the same class at the same time). In other words, the part of the spread that is bought as opposed to written (sold).

 


Long leg
The part of an option spread in which an agreement to buy the underlying security is made.
Long market value
The market value of a security, excluding options, as of the close of the last business day.
