Pension Adjustment - PA
The amount of contributions that can be made to a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) on top of any contributions to a Registered Pension Plan (RPP) in a given year.

 


Pension adjustment - An amount that reduces the allowable contribution limit to an RRSP based on the benefits earned from the employee's pension plan or deferred profit sharing plan.

PA-Pension Adjustment:
A pension adjustment is the deemed value, for tax purposes, of benefits accruing to members of a Registered Pension Plan (RPP) or Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP).

And, if applicable, this maximum is reduced by the "value" (called the Pension Adjustment) of contributions that you and your employer make to your registered pension plan. Money is allowed to grow tax free inside this plan.
