PROFIT-SHARING PLAN:  A defined-contribution plan structured to offer an employee participation in company profits that he or she may use for retirement purposes.

Profit-sharing plans: Type of corporate retirement plan in which contributions are made out of net profits, either based on a precise formula or merely made in substantial and systematic way.

Profit-Sharing Plan - An employee benefit plan established and maintained by an employer whereby the employees receive a share of the profits of the business.
