Cutting red tape. The process of removing legal or quasi-legal restrictions on the amount of COMPETITION, the sorts of business done, or the PRICES charged within a particular industry.

Regulation can be seen to impose unnecessary 'red tape' and other restrictions on businesses. As a result, there has been a movement towards decreasing regulation in recent years.

If firms had a choice to wade through red tape or pay to circumvent it, paying bribes might actually improve efficiency and spur investment.

Commercial real estate, private money loans also know as hard money and or bridge loans are becoming more prevalent as borrowers enjoy less red tape, quicker closings and more 'common sense' underwriting than conventional financing provides.
