Trading volume is the quantity of stocks, bonds, futures contracts, options, or other investments that are bought sold in a specific period of time, normally a day.

 


What is Trading Volume and How to Use it For Technical Analysis?
In technical analysis, Trading Volume is an indicator that indicates the strength of market trend.

Trading volume
The number of shares transacted every day. As there is a seller for every buyer, one can think of the trading volume as half of the number of shares transacted. That is, if A sells 100 shares to B, the volume is 100 shares.

TRADING VOLUME
The number of contracts that change hands during a specified
period of time.
TREND
The general direction of price movement.

The trading volume created by institutional orders that are unavailable to the public. The bulk of dark pool liquidity is represented by block trades facilitated away from the central exchanges.
