Value in Use
Discounted value of net cash to be obtained from a property calculated by consideration of annual cash inflows plus the disposal value.

Value in use - Refers to the discounted value of net cash receipts to be obtained from the corporate asset.
Value of the marginal product - The marginal product of an input times the price of the output.

VALUE IN USE: The satisfaction of wants and needs provided by the direct consumption of goods and services. Acquiring value from the use of goods and services is really the ultimate goal of economic activity.

Adam Smith struggled with what came to be called the paradox of 'value in use' versus 'value in exchange.' Water is necessary to existence and of enormous value in use; diamonds are frivolous and clearly not essential.
