Few vehicles on the road are as well known or as recognizable as the AM General Hummer. This is a vehicle that is impressive from any angle. It drives high off the ground. It is wide. It has a low profile despite its ride height.
AM General survives and is now owned by MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings and the Renco Group. It was organized as an LLC in August 2004.
Wheel Horse Products Division is now owned by the Toro Company.
AM General Corporation developed such a vehicle. Except for a few refinements and creature comforts, the civilian HUMMER is basically unchanged from its military counterpart.

It's a shame, I am generally impressed with the MK4 and I will keep for as long as I can, but when I come to sell it, I certainly won't be stating fVWsh in the AD.
The H2 is built under contract by AM General at a specially constructed plant in Mishawaka, Indiana, USA.

Because AM General were the people who INVENTED the Hummer. GM bought the brand form them way back when. That's like calling up your ex, who you left as she cried saying she can't live without you, and now she won't give you the right time of day.
