I had a BMW 320d SE Auto (2007 model) for 2 years but found the boot impractical, didn’t need the rear seat space, and dropped from doing 20,000+ miles to 6,000 mile/year. So we changed to a 118i SE Auto (I just love auto’s).
Base version BMW 320i will receive the 2-liter engine, 150 h.p. at 6.200 rev/min. Top speed is 219 km/h. The two-liter diesel engine develops 163 h.p. Acceleration till 100 km/h will take only 8,2 sec., and the top speed is 225 km/h.
I have raced my car against a BMW 523, Mercedes E240, BMW 320, Mitsubishi Gallant 2.0, Chrysler Neon 2.0, and Opel Vectra 2.0, just to name some.

The Accord 2.2 i-CTDi is benchmarked against the Audi A4 TDi 130 and BMW 320d.
0-litre turbodiesel (the same engine as used in the BMW 320d) is definitely the one to go for. The five-door station wagon is the most practical body; three-door versions suffer from leaks and it takes too long to remove the roof of the soft-top.
The petrol-powered IS250 puts in a strong performance - while still turning in decent fuel consumption figures. The turbodiesel engine in the IS220d is well-mannered, although not a match for the BMW 320d on performance or refinement.
