Due to the change of model within the 5 Series, the BMW M product portfolio is currently presented without a BMW M5, even though the demand for such a car has never diminished.

Although the BMW M5 Sedan is a luxury performance car, safety is still a priority. Standards include ABS brakes, limited slip differential, halogen front headlights, and traction control.

In addition, the BMW M5 can be fitted with racing rims and alloy wheels in various designs and sizes.
For one-piece monoblock variants, wheels in Type III and IV are available in sizes 8.5J x 19" to
9.5J x 19".

The M5 is laden with technology. At its core, though, BMW's new baby is a true five-seater supercar. It might just be too intense for every day use, but then again, you can always turn it down.

The brakes are racing car quality; not since the BMW M5 have we felt anything so confidence-inspiring. That's in their stopping power; the problem is that the pedal position makes heel-and-toe braking and downshifting cumbersome.

This will be her car (I have an S-Class Mercedes and a BMW M5) and is enough to entice her out of her Lexus RX 350. She drove the new X5 and the GL 550 and found both to be too harsh.

This figure in relation to a high performance sports car such as the new ACS5 Sport Touring based on the BMW M5 certainly doesn't refer to the conventional ratio of capacity to power. Instead: 500 litres luggage space meet 552 red-hot HP (406 kW).

Forget any notion that this is a rival to the BMW M5 or similar, it simply lacks the raw edge of a true high performance car.

To put that in context, the BMW M5’s V10 develops 500bhp and 384lb ft of torque - and as you’d expect, the CTS-V has the edge in terms of pace, too. It’ll hit 60mph in just under four seconds, whereas the M5 takes a tardy 4.

"If you're in the market for a Mercedes AMG 6.3, BMW M5 or Porsche Panamera, you'll definitely want to cross-shop the XFR because this sports sedan is better looking than the Porsche, more nimble than the BMW and much cheaper than the Benz." ...

And let's be really specific and say that I'd buy this 2003 BMW M5 with only 13,797 miles on the clock, Titanium Silver on the outside and LeMans Blue interior. I could easily be swayed by this one as well. Either one would be about $40,000.

It's a remarkable car, indeed, even with its $76,000 (and up) sticker, and it's a worthy opponent for its competition in the sport luxury market, the BMW M5, the Audi RS6 and the Jaguar S-type R.

The 2.2 L, 120 kW (170 bhp) version can reach 100 km/h in 7.7 s, but is not sold in the United States. All are variants of the BMW M54 engine. In the european market, a 2.0 L straight-4 is also offered.
