It's not light years ahead of the old Buick engine, neither in terms of noise or pulling power (though harshness and vibration have been improved), but it certainly feels a lot more composed, more refined if you will, particularly at higher revs.
And it’s not a bad little car at all. GM could have called it a Chevrolet Lacetti, a Buick Lacetti or a Pontiac Lacetti. If they had, it would have sounded a lot more Soprano than Daewoo. But that might have been going too far.
I wonder if Americans will make a Buick Grand National or GNX out of it.

Hyundai is aiming the well-appointed full-size Azera at competition such as the Lexus ES, Toyota Avalon, Ford Taurus and Buick LaCrosse. Options on the base GLS include leather seating, heated front seats, and power tilt/slide sunroof.
The unforgettable looks, comparative rarity in the UK and European engineering may allow the 300C to limit the damage somewhat. In its home market, it has been a runaway success and picked up a number of awards - although beating Buicks and Pontiacs ...
