Would've been nice to see a proper new hot hatch from Citroen, but I guess in this recession people may just be looking for sporty looks with frugal engines.

You know: the sci-fi movie starring the Studebaker Avanti, Rover P6 and Citroen DS Décapotable---all running with electric motors. They are breathtakingly, inimitably beautiful cars. In the movie, they only make a whirring noise.
Not only does it have one of the biggest load capacities with 595 litres with the rear seats in place (that's bigger than its rivals such as the Ford Mondeo or Citroen C5 Tourer), it has some clever touches too.
6 16v was developed with the PSA Peugeot/Citroen group that also required more space. So if you have to re-tool your factory for these reasons, why not increase capacity to meet the growing demand?
