But the arrival of a couple of front-drive economy cars, the Dodge Omni and the Plymouth Horizon, turned the tide of failure.
The Highlander swerved wildly on braking, rattled, had horrible fit and finish on the interior and was so slow my 16 year old Dodge Omni with 200,000 miles would leave it in the dust. Toyota is all hype. We'll never even look at another Japanese car.
